What a night! A bunch of BZ’ers celebrated the British Animation Awards 2022 at the BFI Southbank.

We were honoured to receive a whopping 11 total nominations for awards this year, including two nominations for Best Pre-School Series, two for Best Immersive, two for the LAMB award, and a nomination for the Social Good Award!

Shout out to Lucy Gatenby, BZ Prop Build Artist, who’s film was nominated for Best Undergraduate Film. What an incredible achievement across the board for BZ’ers!

Pip and Posy

We were over the moon to take home the Best Pre-School Series award for Pip and Posy. Massive congratulations to the director of the show, Matt Tea, and the whole brilliant Pip and Posy team.

Proud to see Look Dev Artist, Lisa-Mae Evans, receive an honorary mention for the LAMB Award for her brilliant development work on shows like The Adventures of Paddington, as well as her outreach work including mentoring for Access:VFX.

The Shortform team were awarded with Best Immersive for our VR short film, The Beast! Congratulations to Grant Berry and Dane Winn who directed the VR film and the talented team behind the short. A big thank you to the team at Oculus.
