In Autumn 2021, Blue Zoo Animation Studio proudly became the first dedicated animation company in the world to gain B Corp certification, with a core purpose of using animation as a force for good.
This was a year and a half process of measuring, implementing and evidencing every way the company respects all of its stakeholders, not just shareholders.
These stakeholders include the workforce, the environment, the community and our clients, as well as making sure the company governance enforces these ambitions.
The first year of B Corp was focused on bedding-in; inserting B Corp values into the foundation of everything our studio does.
This report highlights some of the progress we have made to ensure B Corp certification was not a one-off event, and it is a continuous process in our driving ambition to make our company a force for good.
