Stranded on an arctic island with a dying man in 1921, an Alaskan seamstress must overcome her fears of the wilderness and find the strength to survive if she ever hopes to return home to her son.

Directed by Blue Zoo animator and director, Dane Winn, and inspired by the true survival story of Ada Blackjack, this experimental short film took the Blue Zoo shorts program in a completely new direction. Using groundbreaking real-time technology, the team rendered Ada in Unreal Engine to accelerate the process of animated storytelling. The result is a raw and emotive film in an illustrated and characterful style that differentiates itself from a video game-style of animation.
