Funny In Fifteen

Red Bee Media recently commissioned us to develop a top and tail to package clips on the BBC Three "Funny in Fifteen" comedy initiative to discover new comedy talent. The balloon exploding shorts will also feature as a sting on BBC Three and as comedy on the BBC Three website.

The brief was to create a set of simple, fun shorts that bring life to the BBC Three junctions. Dave Hunt and Tom Hales created the balloons in Maya with lots of individual blendshapes transforming the logo into an inflated version of itself. The bulging letters were then hand animated by Lizzie Hicks, while Tom Hales rendered and composited the final piece using After Effects.
